Where does your background information on each issue come from?
TPP researchers comb the internet for non-partisan information that reflects the relevant aspects of the issue. Frequently positions on both side of the issue are included.
How does your program determine which candidate is my best match?
TPP uses an algorithm developed with faculty and students at CalTech that assigns a weight to your answer depending on whether you determine the issue is of Low Importance, Medium Importance, High Importance or a Deal Breaker. After weighting the answers our algorithm compares your weighted score with the non-weighted positions of each candidate to determine who you are closest to in each of the listed election races.
